Award-Winning Author, Beverly Flaxington To Appear On Lifetime’s The Balancing Act
BOSTON, MA- Beverly Flaxington, author of Understanding Other People: The Five Secrets to Human Behavior will appear on the June 10th episode of Lifetime’s The Balancing Act to discuss the book and how to incorporate its subject matter into everyday life.
Flaxington is an entrepreneur, business consultant, educator, and hypnotherapist. In 1995 she co-founded The Collaborative. Fifteen years later Beverly and her partner, Mike Slemmer, continue to collaborate with their clients to help in sales, marketing, business development, business strategy, human resources issues, organizational design and relationship management.
In part it was Flaxington’s consulting work with various clients that led her to write her third book, Understanding Other People: The Five Secrets to Human Behavior published by Motivational Press and originally released in May of 2009.>
“In all of my various roles as corporate consultant, behavioral expert, college professor, and hypnotist I kept finding that the core of most problems and contentions with which I was dealing were caused by breakdowns in communication. Dealing with difficult people seems to be a problem for most everyone and often prevents a person from being effective in their business or personal life. The book gives insights so that everyone can gain more confidence dealing with others in all situations,” Flaxington said.
Flaxington is rapidly becoming one of the recognized experts in the field of individual and organizational effectiveness. Her itinerary is expanding to include speaking engagements in various cities throughout the summer including New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Boston. In November she will be in Las Vegas being honored with The Readers Favorite Gold Award for 2009 “Best New Book on Relationships”
